Instances

Flow as a web application can be installed in multiple places at once, each with its own distinct URL, database and suite of pipelines. Each of these is an 'instance' of Flow.

The 'primary' instance of Flow is the public instance, whose frontend is at app.flow.bio, and whose API is at api.flow.bio. This version is open to the internet, and is free for academic use. Anyone can create an account, and it contains many useful public datasets. In many ways it is the 'default' instance of Flow.

Your institute or company may have its own private instance of Flow, with its own distinct URL. Ensure you are sending requests to the correct endpoint.
